NYE 2015 IN LAS VEGAS
January 7, 2016
Las Vegas. One of my favorite places in the world.
When I was younger, Las Vegas was our second home (after Jordan… so our guess my 3rd home?) and we always found some time to make a trip out west. I would spend my days shopping at glamorous stores and my nights attending astonishing shows. We would eat food created by some of the most talented chefs in the world, and I always found something fascinating with each visit that I returned. It had been about six years (on New Years) since I was reunited with the city, and this time it was a new addition to the family. My appreciation for pictures has only grown in capacity. I spent my New Year holiday re-exploring places that had only lived in my memory and I am grateful enough to have had my camera to snap some of my favorites along the way. Visiting a place with so much meaning when you are married is such a special feeling. It’s almost like being able to share pieces of your past that they were unable to witness (kind of like this feeling). Our extended weekend consisted of all of the usual things: food (Yardbirds is delightful), shows (David Copperfield’s still got it), and shopping (fashion show mall. period.) but we were also lucky enough to catch a few celebrities and spend some time at the spa. While the city is synonymous with being sinful, it’s all about perspective. It reminds me of being young, and happy, and open-minded, and my family. Now it will remind me of all of things plus this trip, and it was wonderful.
The absolute best gelato at the Venetian canal shoppes
(order almond. it’s surprisingly better than pistachio)

I haven't been to Vegas in years, anxiously awaiting going back in April! Love all of these pictures and those sparkly shoes are amazing!

It looks like you had a really good time. I never been to Vegas before. Just never really seemed like a place I would like to go to. Maybe I might give it a shot one day.
