BEST DRESSED: 2015 SCREEN ACTOR’S GUILD AWARDS

The SAG awards are back and these best dressed starlets definitely didn’t sag.

Sarah Hyland in Vera Wang was an ultimate upgraded look for the young starlet. Sarah was the first person I saw on the red carpet and my initial reaction was very positive in that I loved her look and it really set the tone for the night. Not only was it elegant, but it was beautifully on trend with the under-toned v-neck, the embellishments and the tulle overlay. The makeup and hair was perfectly subtle giving her a mature and daring appearance.

Julianne Moore knocked me off my feet for the second awards show in a row in this gorgeous emerald Givenchy gown. Everyone knows that a red head’s best color is any hue of green, but something about how Julianne wore the color and the gown made it extra special. Her hair and makeup were very in-sync with the entirety of dress and the embellishment was beautifully done.

Fashion Police’s Brad Gorenski said it best, “I look to Emma Stone to see the fashion risks of the season.” His statement couldn’t be more true after seeing her on the red carpet for the Golden Globes and now for the SAG Awards. She wore a tuxedo-inspired Dior gown that had a feminine touch from the bottom and a little bit of a masculine touch at the top. She killed this look and I ALWAYS look forward to seeing more from her at the awards shows to come.

Reese Witherspoon played it safe but looked absolutely stunning in a very crisp, white Armani gown. She went very Hollywood glamour for this awards show, which really suited her inner and outer beauty. She graced herself with presence and poise, with an added berry lip and minimalistic jewels.

Lupita Nyong’o in Elie Saab – another starlet that I look to for fashion risks. A lot of people really didn’t like this dress, but I honestly thought it was an amazing look for her. Getting to know Lupita’s style, I’ve noted that she really isn’t one to follow the crowd; she tends not to overdo it in a lot of sequins and embellishments like some celebrities do, so it was really cool to see her represent the designer king of embellishments and couture, Elie Saab, and it not be filled with all of that pizazz.
