SUNDAES ON SUNDAY

Sunday was just going to be a cheat day where we ate everything in sight.

I really don’t know if we did anything other than eat yesterday. I mean literally we had like 15 dishes for brunch and then desserts that lasted into the night + tea + coffee + corn (?) + sweets from Lebanon. It was just one of those days where you literally have to be like “Ok, screw it.” Yes, that was my whole entire family yesterday.  My in-laws made a trip to Columbia so we could spend the day with my parents and enjoy our day off as a family.  It was such a special day for me because it had marked one year since H came with his whole family to ask for my hand in marriage.  It meant so much to me that we were all able to spend time together a year later after what was such an emotional day (and year) for me. I had to write about the highlight of our food feast from Sunday… and that was the sundae bar that my mother created just so we didn’t have to put any work into baking anything.  The set up was beautiful & the options were exactly what we were all craving to go on top of a sundae. Cue in: hot fudge, hot caramel, nuts, waffle bowls, etc.

Ever since my pumpkin whoopie pies, I’ve had my eye on Publix Premium ice creams. They were delicious and the perfect combination (we got chocolate almond, tiramisu, & butter pecan)

My dad’s fruit salad should win awards. (I may be biased, but I really don’t think I am).
The perfect balance between healthy & unhealthy, right? (bahaha)

I just wanted to say on a personal note, that marriage is hard. I know that through social media people tend to be convinced that other people have perfect lives (the grass is always greener…), but everyone goes through the trials and tribulations of life. I was so happy yesterday to know that we made it through the first 6 months of marriage.  I am so thankful to have gone through the good, the great, the bad, & the ugly with this one by my side. Here is to the rest of our happy days.

Y'all two seem like a very happy couple. My wife and I just celebrated one year of marriage this past December, and I know how it is to feel lucky to have someone that you truly love with you for everything in life(both good and bad).
