2015 IN REVIEW

Reflection.  That is something special that this blog has taught me. I love this time of the year because of the opportunity to reflect back on everything that has happened. I’ve never been the type to come up with New Year resolutions (although this year I would love to drink more water), but rather realize the moments that this year has granted me. Last New Years I thought it would be nearly impossible to top 2014.  I had just recently gotten engaged and ended the year with the most beautiful engagement party with family and friends.  An entire year later and I look at how busy this last year was.  Between having a wedding and been given the opportunity to have traveled to so many places in just 12 months is such a huge blessing.  I look back at my old ‘year in reviews’ and I think to myself that (once again) nothing will be able to top 2015. I have accomplished so much from finishing graduate school and getting married to picking up from the city I love to transition to a new one. I think it’s the first time that I have been genuinely proud of myself. I’ve learned to have fun, and let go, and let things happen without much effort. I’ve realized the value of my friendships. I’ve appreciated those in my life (old and new) and I have fallen in love with a city that has granted me so much opportunity.  So here is a message to me for this time next year: if 2016 is even one fourth of 2015, then I had a beautiful year.
