BEST DRESSED: 2017 MET GALA

The Oscars of fashion have arrived!

Each and every year, A-list celebrities outdo themselves with whimsical silhouettes and avant-garde styles as they step out onto the red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. Filled with couture explosions and glamour, this year’s theme honored Japanese fashion designer Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons. Kawakubo is the second designer to be featured for the MET Gala theme (previously before her Yves Saint Laurent) and she is most noted for pushing the boundaries of fashion by executing extremely innovating designs.

I was unsure that any theme could top last year’s MANUS x MACHINA, but there were a multitude of looks that I couldn’t narrow down. This list is a mix between best dressed in general, and best dressed with the iconic theme. Take a peek at our favorites x
