OH BABY: DANIA’S GENDER REVEAL
Oh baby, baby. A glimpse into our gender reveal for our bundle of joy.
B O Y O R G I R L ?
When Hamzeh and I discovered that we were expecting, we were overwhelmed and showered with so much love and support from family and friends. We always planned on expanding our family, and with my 7th month on the rise, we could not be more excited for this new change in our life. When my parents had me, they opted to find out the gender on the day I arrived. Hamzeh and I both considered that option, but as time started to pass we had become increasingly anxious to find out the sex of our baby. Around our 5th month, we planned to surprise all of our close friends and family with a gender reveal where the ultra sound technician and the wonderful bakers at Suarez Bakery were the only ones to know. We ordered some of our favorite foods (pinwheels from Publix, a variety of sandwiches from Chicken Salad Chick, and of course desserts from special bakeries) and spent the afternoon eating and chatting about how life would be different in a few short months. Our siblings gushed about how excited they were to be aunts and uncles, and our parents couldn’t believe they were going to be grandparents. We celebrated with a beautiful custom cake from Suarez Bakery and customized sugar cookies from Blue Flour Bakery. They could not have turned out (or tasted) any more perfect.
Our decorations were a combination of do-it-yourself’s with the cake topper and flower arrangements, and some of my favorite Etsy stores (OH balloon from here, and BABY balloon here). Of course, my favorite part of the entire day was the way in which we surprised everyone with smoke fountains (found here).
We took bets on what everyone thought we were having, and the poll resulted in an even 50/50 split.
September couldn’t come soon enough. x
Oh, by the way, it’s a GIRL!
