DANIA’S SKIN CARE ROUTINE
Skin is soooo in.
Why does it take for me to almost hit 30 to actually give a you-know-what about my skin?
You guys know how much I DIE over make up– see here, here, here, here… but there’s something about SKIN right now that’s just speaking to my soul (where was that something when I was 17?!?) Literally I used to be that girl that used a make up wipe right before going to sleep and maybe on a good day I would use this enzyme cleansing gel. The thought of that now seriously makes me cringe. I don’t know if it has something to do with age but there’s just this indescribable feeling about a 100% make-up free face, ESPECIALLY before bed.
Now I am by NO MEANS a skin guru, but after an entire year of trial and error I can confidently say that I’ve found my perfect skin care routine– and YES I have noticed a complete difference. I feel younger, fresher, and more alive (wow, I sound so old) but I am not joking about this. At first I had to get accustomed to setting some time aside before bed (aka not 2.5 seconds with a make up wipe), but once I got over that hump I am never looking back. Some of the items I use are kinda pricey (Clarisonic, for sure), but it’s totally worth investing some money in.
(This tool is $$$ but it makes your face look SO much thinner. It’s pretty much an at home facial massage)
(rollers decrease puffiness– LESS BAGS FTW. Also, rose quartz = positive energy)
+ Mario Badescu Grapefruit toner
+ Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Spray
(I spray this ALL THE TIME on hair and face- even to set my make up)
(Anti-aging)
+ Glow Recipe Watermelon Moisturizer
+ Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleep Mask
(These last two are the best products I own. They smell like jolly ranchers and are EVERYTHING)
Step one: After wiping off all your make-up, use foam cleanser and massage into face. Rinse with warm water.
Step two: Take a cotton ball and apply grapefruit toner all over and air dry.
Step three: MASSAGE THAT FACE! I use the massage head of the Clarisonic Smart profile and just literally massage into my cheek bones and in a downwards motion around my neck. (Huge shoutout to TSC for that pro tip)
Step four: Apply a serum– I usually always use collagen. I use my rose quartz roller for this too to make sure that I’m decreasing the puffiness while also making sure the serum gets all over. I then put my rose quartz roller in the freezer so I can massage again in the morning.
Step five: Now if it’s the AM I add the Watermelon moisturizer for this step, but if it’s night I use the sleeping mask. The catch here is you’ll want to use the mask 1-3 times a week. SO if it’s an off night, I use the moisturizer.
Step six: Spray face with rosewater facial spray.
