I never understood people who wanted to buy cute activewear (aka my mom). However, I found myself becoming exactly that person this year. I took a ~2-year workout hiatus due to the struggles of juggling working full-time and getting married. (Lame excuses, but I’m also one that appreciates coming home after a long day and relaxing on the couch.) Nevertheless, this year, taking my health into account was integral. The migration from the couch to several different gyms was necessary.

With a new lifestyle change comes a new wardrobe (a total AYA mantra!) And I didn’t want to pay the expensive price that comes with active gear. I’m very much into finding chic activewear or athleisure for a low price, so I’m always scouring the racks of TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. (Sorry, Lulu!) I did discover that some of my absolute favorite retailers carry these items for very affordable prices.

My go-to places? ASOS, H&M, IVY PARK (a little more $$) and the classics like Adidas, Reebok, Under Armour and Nike. I’m also loving the assortment that The Athlete’s Foot offers. Some of these places are also doing MAJOR sales. I live for a funky pair of leggings and a basic top to go back to them. Whether it’s high-intensity cardio, pilates, or barre, I always try to keep the lewks on point! In conclusion, my mom is now utterly jealous of my new sportswear assortment.
