3 WAYS TO WEAR A T-SHIRT

Graphic tees are so my thing. Don’t know how to style it? Here are three ways you can do so in a fun and effortless way.

I’ve heard and noticed that a lot of people have a hard time styling a simple tee or even a cool graphic t-shirt with styles they already own in their closet. We all know that you can easily pair your t-shirts with distressed denim, or even your pajama pants when you’re heading to bed, however – you CAN make your tee look super chic by mixing it with an eclectic range of pieces that you may not ever think to pair it with.

So what did I do? I took the same t-shirt and styled it three different ways. I didn’t just switch my bottoms, either. I went as far as offering to outfit the tee with different shoes, accessories, and even sunglasses to create completely unique ensembles. And thanks to romwe.com, they gifted me with this fabulous sequined ‘FRIES’ t-shirt that made it super easy to create cool looks.

For  a  casual  fun  look,  I  went  for  a  denim  skirt  with  braided  pockets.  I  wanted  to  add  pizazz  so  I  paired  this  outfit  back  with  my  glitzy  platform  sandals  (that  I  bought  from  Istanbul  and  now  am  completely  obsessed  with  by  the  way).  It  was  perfect  for  the  90  degree  weather  North  Carolina  was  having,  plus  I  was  meeting  friends  for  dinner  that  night  and  got  so  many  compliments  on  my  look.  Sometimes  it’s  nice  to  mismatch  and  wear  things  with  pieces  that  you  would  never  usually  wear  them  with.

This outfit is the most simple of the three due to the lack of pizzazz as far as glitz, accessories or over pieces go. However,  most would say that they would struggle putting a look like this together.  The only reason why I say this is because one truly wouldn’t think to put a basic, cotton tee with classic pants or trousers (I can attest to that because I’ve never seen anyone do that on the streets). But you absolutely CAN pair this together. It makes a business ensemble not look so serious, especially when there isn’t a tailored blazer involved.

This is my absolute favorite ensemble of the three. I got the inspiration from several years of studying New York and Milan street style looks. When I see someone style a tee with a vibrant, printed skirt that has nothing to do with the graphic on the t-shirt, I find it as such a brilliant styling method. The thought of piecing separate styles together may sound a little farfetched, but when you put them together, it ends up being a creative masterpiece. This is how I feel about this specific look. The top, skirt, and shoes all offer their own sense of creativity on their own and altogether they seem as if they intertwine as one.
