4 OXBLOOD LIPSTICKS FOR FALL

We are so used to bright reds, but now it’s time to shift gears to oxblood.

It’s Friday! I’m sharing my 4 favorite oxblood lip colors just in time to celebrate for the weekend. I’ve been pretty set in my ways when it comes to lipsticks. I always go for neutrals (see here) with an occasional red (& I usually have a go-to). This season I decided to venture out and expand my red collection with an emphasis on deeper colors for the fall. I mean, when is a better time to try deeper colors than October?

1//MAC Dark Side Amplified This color has a purple/fuchsia undertone. It also has a nice light glossy finish so need need for the extra lip gloss if you’re trying to soften the bold lip. $17

2// NARS Cruella This actually isn’t a new find for me, I’ve always loved this color especially when I head out to the USC games for college (GO COCKS!) because it was the perfect tint to match their colors. It’s nice and matted, and it goes on very smooth and easy. $26

3// Revlon Black Cherry This color is probably the boldest (& darkest) I’ve tried all season. It’s around the same color as the skin of a dark cherry (hints the name). This one also has a glossy finish, and is from their lustrous collection. Plus, who can beat their price? $8

4//Maybelline Divine Wine ^My favorite. I love matte lipsticks and this deep red is a good transition from the lighter reds of summer to the darkest ones of fall. And it stays on very, very well AND costs only $8!
