DIY DREAMY FLOWER ARRANGEMENT
Nothing turns a house into a home than fresh picked flowers.

Ever since I was a little girl I was always drawn to flowers. I used to dream of laying down in sunflower fields and I always begged my mom to buy me a bouquet when we would head out to the stores. As I got older, I made sure that I frequently dressed my home in blooms. I would sometimes buy small bouquets for each room. Last Saturday we decided to spend our morning at the flower market where we were able to shop a variety of flowers and create our own magical arrangements.

Pick the kind of vase you would like to work with. That way, you can gain a good idea on how big and tall you would need your arrangement to be.
Pick a theme. Below you will see that Aya went for tall and bright colors while I opted out for a muted pastel theme. If you’re working with house arrangements, you will want to choose up to 3 colors to experiment with. Some choose the same tone in different shades, and others go for contrasting colors (i.e. yellow and blue is one of my favorite color combos).
Make sure to pick out plenty of greenery. They will be used as fill-ins if you have extra room.
Cut flower stems at an angle to get elevated stems. If you’re wanting the ones in the middle to be the tallest, make sure you trim the ones in front of it at an angle so they lay perfectly together.
Start with a large flower as the focal point. Aya chose a white hydrangea to be her fullest flower, and added some height with white gladiolus bulbs. I used burnt orange and light pink English roses as the main focus.
If you’re working with two different flowers, grab some baby’s breath as your last filler. As you can see below, mine consisted of two types of roses, baby’s breath, and eucalyptus for some height and color contrast.
Have fun! And play along as you go.
