Today! Today is the day that we celebrate my husband’s birthday, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share a whole day that is completely for him. He is wonderful for so many reasons & I find it fitting to share some of those reasons today.
He is adventurous. He is willing to go anywhere at any time, including trips to Columbia at 11 PM at night just to visit my family or trips to Charleston just to make sure my birthday is special.
He is genuine. His conversations are always filled with curiosity. When he says something, he means it wholeheartedly from making a promise to just saying “it was really nice to meet you”.
He is funny. He’s the one that can take a whole room of strangers and make them all find a commonality through laughter.
He still likes me even when I’m a complete weirdo. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and skip around after drinking my coffee (yes, that kind of weird) and he still laughs with me and sometimes skips around with me too.
He is my siblings’ & best friends’ brother.
He is very quick to forgive, and that is one of the things that I love most about him. It’s such an admirable trait that not everyone is blessed with. I look up to him, for he makes me feel as if everyone always has something to learn.
He is generous. With his money, time, and friendships. He is a great friend to have, and an even better husband.
I am so thankful to have him in my life (الحمد لله) and October 9th will remain such a special day for me because it was the day that someone like him was brought into this life and made the whole world just a little bit better. Today is his birthday!! I hope he knows how much he means to me, I’m so glad I was able to trick him into forever with me (insert evil laugh here). I love you xx
