My favorite outfit from summer consisted of nautical stripes and a bold red lip.
You know when you buy an outfit that just hits the stores months in advance to the specific season it’s targeted for? Well, this ensemble was my hot commodity of the summer, and apparently everyone else’s since the blazer was sold out on every website and the jumpsuit was only found on one (see below).
There’s a special place in my heart for two-piece sets, and when I spotted these nautical, sailor-striped separates, I knew I had to have them together as one. I bought these pieces back in March, just when the temperatures were slowly starting to recover from our snowy February. I knew that this specific look was essential to my vacation wardrobe, because it completely exudes chic, summer style – just what I was looking for. The reverse of colors, variegated stripes, culotte silhouette, and sharp gold buttons had me dreaming of a red lip on a yacht… and just like that, it was mine.
