LUNA’S LIVING KITCHEN

Fresh and good for the soul… If you haven’t tried this vegan phenomenon in Charlotte, it’s a must.

If any of you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice that I posted a photo of a wonderfully-delicious looking salad about two weeks ago.  That salad was from the place pictured above, Luna’s Living Kitchen, which is conveniently walking distance from me.  Never in a million years would I ever think to call an all vegan restaurant one of my favorites in town, but it’s refreshing to eat at a place where the food is farm to table fresh and prepared each day. Not to mention their juices! Cold pressed and colorful (because food and drinks always tastes better when they are pretty) with a perfect variety. We tried a few different kinds, but my favorite was the Volcano… a combination of orange, lemon, grapefruit and cayenne pepper.  It was pretty much orange juice with an unexpected kick.

The Living Bagel- this is a bagel option made completely out of vegetables.
A combination of almonds, zucchini, tomato, onion, basil, avocado, and sprouts.

Tricolor hummus: lemon-parsley, sweet curry, and
roasted chipotle options all served with vegetables and cranberry bread
& raw crackers. (Chipotle hummus if phenomenal)
How pretty are those colors?
Purple rain is made of red cabbage,  pear, lemon, and mint
Zinger is beet, apple, orange, lemon, and ginger.
