TASTE OF THE NATION 2016

We were thrilled to be invited to Charlotte’s Taste of the Nation event for a great cause.

How do you raise money and awareness for such an important cause? Present delicious food from some of the best local restaurants in Charlotte, of course. They also featured live entertainment to get the people movin’ & groovin’ to bid on fantastic packages provided by local businesses around town.  Taste of the Nation is Charlotte’s premier culinary event,  gathering the people together to focus on such an important cause called No Kid Hungry. From every $1 raised from this event, No Kid Hungry generated ten healthy meals for hungry children. We were goo-goo eyed when we saw some of the restaurants that were featured on Charlotte’s 2015 Best Restaurants list at this event, and we got to try their scrumptious hors d’oeuvres that left us drooling to go back for more and more.

Both the silent and  live auction grabbed everyone’s attention when they presented some seriously amazing packages like baskets filled with assorted crackers, cheeses and wine, as well as showcasing precious and fine jewelry for purchase. We had such an amazing time raising money for such an important cause, and the delicious food didn’t hurt either. We cannot wait to attend again next year!
