Our drug store beauty must-haves for April.

So I’m really big on powder (cue in dark circles under my eyes) and my go-to is usually Laura Mercier’s famous translucent setting powder. It has definitely been a life savor for me in that I go through it so, SO quick. It’s also a hefty $40… and while it is TOTALLY WORTH IT in my opinion, sometimes I don’t have time (or money) to drop it like it’s hot. My perfect dupe? ELF HD powder. It’s only $6 and you can grab it real quick at Walmart or Target. It does the job wonderfully.

I went through this phase of trying to buy all things that make your natural lip line appear bigger than it really is. That also came with the “I use lipliner as lipstick” phase and this NYX mauve lip liner became just that. It allows you to over line without looking like a clown (which I LOVE!)… AND it’s only $4!! Watch out Angelina.

Drug store foundation reminds me of the time I had zero income and was just starting out with “serious” makeup in the 8th grade. This is the first foundation I have bought from a drug store since then, and needless to say Maybelline’s Skinless Poreless FitMe Foundation fits me just right. It offers full coverage without the heavy feeling of being caked on, and exudes a seamless finish under bronzer and blush.

A highlight that’s more blinding than the sun and just $3.99? Yes, please. Wet n Wild’s Mega Glo Highlight stick is in a scintillating hue that’s mixed with pink and purple for the ultimate shine. In one swipe, you’ll be catwalk ready thanks to its creamy finish and soft texture. Plus, the notorious Allure magazine rants and raves about it here

I’m not going to lie to you, I was totally drawn to this blush because it was so beautiful.  The best part? It’s even prettier on my cheeks.  I’ve never really been into blush as I always forget to add it after my whole make up routine.  With that said, I also find it difficult to justify why in the world I would spend so much money on it if I rarely ever use it. Milani’s 8 different hues are made to complement any skin tone, and easily one of the best choices of $9 I’ve ever spent.

In just $12, your cheeks will be chiseled like an ancient Greek goddess thanks to the 2-in-1 Wonderstick by NYX. This product will have you contouring with ease without leaving a trail of messy behind. With one dark shade on one side and a highlighter on the other, the creamy components of this stick will have you made-up like a pro. It’s the perfect product for those tardy make-up-in-the-car’s-mirror type of days.
