BEST DRESSED: 2014 GOLDEN GLOBES
It was crazy for me to type out “2014 Golden Globe Awards.” I can’t believe my favorite time is already here – that time being AWARDS SEASON! I also can’t believe that I had to type out “2014″… It is going to take me a while to get used to it but I am super excited for what’s ahead!
So let’s talk about the Golden Globes last night… How amazing were the red carpet looks? The dress choices from the 2013 awards season was great and all but I have to say I was just a little bit disappointed – 2012 was a great year for the red carpet so I anticipated so much for 2013.
But that’s okay – because we are off to a fantastic start for 2014! The ladies {and gentlemen} that hit tackled the red carpet last night REALLY out did themselves. There were so many great looks that my list is much longer than usual – I couldn’t narrow it down to a small list!
Here is my best dressed list for the 2014 Golden Globes:

Julie Bowen may or may not have been my top favorite at the Globes last night. She looked elegant and beautiful in this color blocked Carolina Herrera gown. I believe that this dress really went perfectly with her loving personality. The style and fit was so glamourous for her – I really don’t know how else to describe my love for this red carpet look.

Ever since the moment I saw Cate Blanchett at the 2011 Oscars wearing Givenchy Haute Couture
– I can’t get enough of her. I always enjoy seeing what she’s wearing on the carpet because
she always does it so well. So when she stepped out in this gorgeous gothic-esque lace
Armani put up, I was convinced that she is one of my favorite actresses when it
comes to fashion. She is constantly taking risks and breaking necks and I look
forward to seeing what she’ll be rocking at the next show.

Olivia Wilde was sexy and adorable at the same time in this curve-hugging (more like baby bump-hugging) Gucci gown. The color was perfect to her olive skin, dark hair, and petite like body, pregnant or not. I just love when preggo gals rock it out on the carpet… this is definitely one of my favorite looks of the night!

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you already know that I was absolutely obsessed with Kate Beckinsale in Zuhair Murad. Kate is always on my radar on the red carpet and of course she rocked it out in this stunning sweet heart sequined gowns by my favorite designer. She never disappoints, always stays classy and knows how to put a true red carpet look together. Another one of my top favorite dresses!

Taylor Swift was such a glamour doll in this Carolina Herrera gown. T.Swift is so good at rocking the sexy sequined mini dresses and then changing it up with elegance in a princess like ball gown for these upscale award shows. The hair and makeup was vintage Hollywood to a T… how could this not be on a best dressed list?

New comer Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren. What can I say, this look was just amazing. The silhouette of this dress replicates a cape-like dress from the Roman Catholic times and the color was so becoming on her beautiful skin. This was an excellent way to make her debut on the carpet.

Aussie actress and rookie red carpet strutter Margot Robbie wore a beautiful high slit detailed dress by Gucci and completely dropped jaws. After her debut just last night she has been on everyone’s best dressed list! Her minimalistic makeup accented her already gorgeous face and I am so glad that I went and watched Wolf of Wall Street this weekend because this chick has major potential in the acting biz and of course the business of fashion.

Amy Adams shocked viewers around the world in this beautiful and risque halter gown by Valentino. This dress was absolutely perfect for the Cinderella like gal because it was a style that she never usually goes for, and also it replicates a dress that her “American Hustle” character would wear. Since she was nominated for the movie and won an award, this color blocked look was an A+ fit.
So when I first saw Zosia Mamet I honestly didn’t know who she was (and I still don’t) but I don’t care because she looked so elegant in this all white with black lace detailed dress by Reem Acra. While looking at her photos online, I realized that at this awards show she displayed a new ‘do – going from long locks to this super chic bob. All I have to say is that this rookie is definitely doing it right at her first awards show and I’m excited to see more of her during the season.
So who were your favorites?

I think our jaws all dropped when Lupita showed up. She was stunning. While Olivia Wilde glowed, I thought Kerry Washington looked fab in all white as well although I get enough of her wearing white on Scandal. And yes! Let's talk Kate Beckinsale. That woman gives me life okay?! She can do no wrong!
