Carolina Cup 2013
Happy Monday everyone!
So last week I told you all about the Carolina Cup and how I was attending it Saturday. Just a debrief: Carolina Cup is the Kentucky Derby of the Carolinas. It’s an all day horse racing event where guys and gals dress up in their finest Spring attire – which includes sundresses, floppy hats, bow ties, and more. It was such a blast and it was a beautiful day for it. Sunny skies with a temperature of 70 degrees, which is the total opposite of what today is (cloudy and rainy…boo). Anyway as I promised, here are some pictures of what our day looked like and how we dressed up!
And finally, this is what I ended up wearing…
YES! It is a design from the Prabal Gurung for Target Collection! I chose to wear the Full Skirt in Floral Crush Print and thought it was the absolute perfect dress to wear to Cup. It was springy, colorful, comfortable, chic… and even more. I got so many compliments on it and was happy that I chose it. I wanted to go for a different look than the norm (which happens to be Lilly Pulitzer) and I’m glad the dress was a hit.

I also chose to wear a great pair of Firmoo Sunglasses. A few months ago, I was approached to collaborate with Firmoo and chose a lovely pair of fashionable sunglasses to keep and review about on my blog. I am OBSESSED with these chic sunglasses! They give me enough protection to block my eyes from sun rays and they give off a 1950s yet modern look all at the same time. The yellow is a unique and eye-popping color that I just knew would be a hit for spring and summertime.
I definitely recommend everyone check out their website, where they always update new sunglasses and regular glasses styles each and every season.
Overall, I had a great time this weekend and it’s sad to say this is my last time going to the Carolina Cup in my undergraduate career. It was fun to spend it with some of my closest friends and it is definitely a memory I’ll be able to keep forever. xoxo
