Elie Saab S/S’13 Haute Couture Review

Every season, I am so eager and ecstatic to view Elie Saab’s Haute Couture shows. The Lebanese designer, who is known for his elegant gowns and trademark styles happens to be my  most favorite designer right now. He has a signature look that works so well season after season. The sheer detailing, lace embellishments and encrusted beadings and sequins are what make his gowns so iconic.

This week was one of the most fascinating weeks of all – none other than Paris Fashion Week. Elie Saab showcased his Spring Summer 2013 Haute Couture Collection on Wednesday and it was nothing less than phenomenal. I love how he uses a select few, delicate range of colors but then designs several different styles in each of the few colors he’s chosen for the collection. It makes all of us believe that he understands a fashionable woman – they may like one color, but one certain style won’t fit on her. In this case, the various styles gives plenty of options. This is what makes a timeless fashion designer, when they can relate to the person that they are designing for.

You may see me saying this after every one of his shows, but he has outdone himself, again. And I cannot wait to see his next collection so I can say it all over again! Here are some of my favorites from the absolutely stunning collection.

I cannot wait to see these looks on the red carpet this summer from celebrities like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Rose Byrne. I can definitely see some of these gowns on gals like them!

What do you think about the collection?
