This collection in my opinion can be described as chic simplicity with a touch of multi-cultured facets. The owner of this shop, Nao, creates these lovely eco-friendly chunky necklaces from African clothing and uses polymer textile clay hoops to accessorize the choker of the necklaces. She also designs bracelets to match the bold necklaces and also creates thinner, minimalistic necklaces for the more simply accessorized woman. The fascinating thing about her designs is that you can purchase several different color clay hoops to mix and match back to your outfit of the day. Her use of ethnic blending translates to bold and beautiful accessories that can be worn on day-to-day basis. Nao was incredibly generous enough to send me one of my very own handmade necklaces to keep.
I’ll be sure to feature soon!

I discovered the sweet southern comfort of Betsy Pittard Designs just from my recent move to North Carolina. It was hard not to notice this collection – and not just because it was almost in every small boutique that I walked into, but because of the variety of stones, tassels, and beads she uses to assemble her accessories with. Betsy is a designer from Georgia who sells her fun-loving brand all around the south attracting the likes of young fashion business professionals to sorority girls all over the Mason-Dixon line. There were times where I couldn’t find specific necklaces I wanted in stores so I took it a step further and researched her Etsy page, where I got a glimpse of some of her other really fantastic designs. Her pieces are quite addicting – like her tusk necklaces dipped in gold patterns and her multi-tassled chains. I know that there’s only more to come from this amazing designer.

{tassle necklaces, $64}
This shop is more on the louder, brighter, and more vibrant side, which excites me because the louder your accessories are, the more your outfit shines, as the collection’s motto is “more is more”. Christina, who is the owner and director of boo+boo factory is an architectural designer from Chicago who uses her love of leather, colors, and uniqueness to create her eclectic brand of whimsical accessories- from statement necklaces, to eye popping earrings and even stand out clutches. Her inspiration comes from the many colors of the world and from her very own photography, being somewhat of a palette for her collection. You can’t help but be happy when you see her psychedelic creations, and it makes me addicted to her whole aesthetic.
