Fashionable Friday

Happy FASHION WEEK Friday everyone!
As some of you may know, I’m in New York City for the most important week of the year,
Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week
and I’m absolutely loving every bit of it!
So far, I’ve been to one AMAZING presentation, and today I’ll be going to two showroom appointments and two runway shows. I’ll take some photos and post them sometime next week for you all to read and find out who I got to see. Another thing I’m really excited about is that my sister is coming up to the Big Apple today for some weekend fun! She’s going to be my sidekick to all the fashion events and assist me in popping my Fashion Week cherry!
(vulgar, yes- but too excited not to type it out)
I’ve constantly been on all social media sites during this wonderful, hectic and fashionable week, updating on my ventures and checking out the latest posts on other notable names in the industry.
If you want to be in the know about #MBFW,
here are some social media accounts (& my faves) that are totally worth keeping up with:
INSTAGRAM:
@netaporter (a DUH)

If you want to check out what I’m doing this week…

Anyway, I hope everyone had a lovely week and I hope everyone enjoys viewing
all the collections that the amazing designers of New York City have to offer.
Enjoy these inspirational photos… XOXO!

It’s Fashion Week people, so of course I’m going to have a chic street style photo in this post…
so why not have it be Peony Lim wearing one of my favorite designers ever, TIBI?
Luckily for me, this picture is so perfect for this post because I’ll actually be attending the
Tibi show this weekend. I can’t express how excited I am to be going to view the collection
on the runway for Fall 2014! I love how this look is paired with leopard calf-hair booties and
a red lip… Like I said a few posts ago, when I don’t know where to go,
I always go back to leopard and love!

This photo is from the Fall 2013 collection of my favorite jewelry line that exists right now –
DANNIJO. The Fall collection was titled “Vanities” and was inspired to be keepsake and iconic accessories that you’ll wear forever. Elizabeth Taylor was a huge inspiration for this collection and the girls truly believed that some of the pieces that they designed were pieces that she would wear if she was still around today, because she was known for the bling and bang of timeless jewelry pieces.
Another collection I’m excited to see is their Fall 2014 one and I know it’s going to be over the top!

I feel like we always see actress Dianna Agron as the girly girl next door or the popular cheerleader from Glee, but this photo from her spread for the United Kingdom’s InStyle Magazine looks like she can kick some serious ass. She’s seen here as a rocker-fied bad b*tch in head to toe Louis Vuitton and looks like she doesn’t give a flipping sh*t about anything. I love it and applaud her for pulling this very different look off, even if it’s just for an editorial spread.

These powerful words were uttered by our most favorite and by far most fashionable fictional character to have ever existed, Carrie Bradshaw. How clever of these words to come out of her mouth, as that is what Fashion Week truly is all about. Fashion is always ahead of the game and I love that we are always looking forward to that “brighter future”.

Taking it back to the Fall 2013 collection of Milly by Michelle Smith. I loved the Fall’13 show because it debuted a bigger and better MILLY collection. If you remember the old Milly, you’ll remember matronly dresses and overrated prints going down the runway. It wasn’t bad at all, but the modern and vibrant looks that you’re seeing now-a-days from the designer is a huge leap in the right direction. The colors, prints, and silhouettes are targeting more towards a wide range of women rather than just women over 30 and I’m excited for what’s to come. I can’t wait to see her Fall 2014 collection!
