Five Things

{Living-out-of-a-suitcase patterns}

The start of this year came in an instant. It’s hard to believe that we are already half-way through the middle of January.  I’ve been trying to re-settle back into my Charleston life after traveling between 3 cities all of winter break. I’ve (almost) unpacked all of my duffle bags, started at my practicum site, and have continued with the extensive wedding planning. It’s been a little difficult because H went on a much needed trip and won’t be back until the start of next month. It’s really hectic trying to make decisions alone! Sometimes I feel like it’s one more thing on my list of ‘things to do’, and then I realize the underlay of fun that’s supposed to be enjoyed out of it. That alone is what has brought me back to blogging, taking some time out and really reveling in the fun. Five things-

{Variety of chocolate florentines}
My mother surprised me with such a beautiful collection of Italian florentines:
thin discs of chocolate covered with nuts, dried fruit, and coffee beans.

{Colorful cherry tomatoes- the basics of this heirloom salad}

{Bursts of pinks, purples, & creams taking over the sky}

{The start of a new hobby & my main excuse for my blogging absence}
