Goodbye, New York

You Guys!!!

I am SO depressed.

As you all may know, I’ve been living in New York City for the summer as an intern at Joseph Abboud menswear line. This summer has been such a life changing experience and I am so sad and cannot believe that this chapter of my life has already come to an end. It feels like just yesterday that I was getting settled into my itty bitty dorm room at New York University.

I did some pretty fantastic things this summer – I went on the Sex & the City and Gossip Girl tours, got some great shopping deals, ate at an AMAZING food stand (who would have thought?) delivered suits to a famous actor’s house, survived the first two weeks of Ramadan, and pretty much had a blasty blast in general. Definitely a summer to go in the records!
Living in New York City and becoming an intern were two things that were at the top of my bucket list, that I am ecstatic about crossing off – I still can’t believe that I managed to make it happen. After being an intern in a designer fashion company, it has made me even more positive that this industry is where I want to be. I know post-graduation I am going to look back at my college years and be proud of myself for the summer I spent in the fashion capital of the world.
I wanted to share a few photos (more to come soon) of the experiences I had the opportunity to pursue this summer. So here is some evidence of the fabulous NYC lifestyle I was living during the past two months:
