BEST DRESSED: 2014 GRAMMY AWARDS
Happy Monday everyone!
How intense were the 56th annual GRAMMY’s last night?
And by intense I mean the fashion, that is.
I was really amazed by all the great looks that we saw some of the fabulous stars step out in,
but I also can say I was disappointed in some of the looks as well. First, let’s talk about that…
For example, I’m always so excited to see my girl Katy Perry at these events, but when I saw that tacky Valentino gown, I wasn’t a happy fan. Although the dress is SO her, I was hoping she would opt for a more glamourous look, like when she showed up last year in the amazing green Gucci gown.
Another thing I was disappointed about – where were all the big stars in the music industry right now? We didn’t see Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, One Direction, Drake, or Adele (even though she probably is on a hiatus right now since she hasn’t put out any new music within the last year).
We all know the awards show would have been more interesting if these big shots were to show up.
Anyway – let’s talk best dressed.
Here is my list:
We all expected Taylor Swift to show up to the carpet in a dress filled with either glitter, sparkle, or metallics, but the Gucci dress she wore was an elegant surprise. She looked lovely in this perforated sleeved soft silver gown. The dress showed a mature woman, but the tousled ponytail and the minimal lightly brushed makeup kept her youthful and sleek. We can truly say she always shows up with class and is a great role model for young women all around.

Shockingly, (to me), not many people noticed the stand out Ezra Santos gown
Colbie Caillat wore. I fell in love with this look right when she stepped on the carpet.
I have been really into high neck gowns lately because they pleasantly accentuate the face
and chest more. The almost-camouflage floral detail on the upper part of the dress was
amazing and the top-knot hair was a cool hairstyle change.

Chrissy Teigen looked like an unbelievable hot mama in this attention drawing Johanna Johnson gown, but I couldn’t decide if the dress made her look amazing or if it was she that made the dress amazing? Either way it was flawless perfection and the high-middle-slit was a sexy change to what we are used to. Her figure was spot on with the dress and her hair was beautiful.

I was so happy to finally see a dress that I loved on Giuliana Rancic. Although she is a Fashion Police anchorwoman, I truly cannot say I love her style when it comes to Red Carpet events. BUT, this sheer and floral print red-orange dress by Alex Perry was a great color, fit, and silhouette for the petite woman. With her hair now being super short, her options for hairstyles are minimal. I think the poofed ponytail was a great compliment to add to this dress and the makeup was divine.

Ciara and her adorable baby bump were glowing in this golden bronzed & sequined Emilio Pucci dress. The gown was the perfect fit for her preggo body and she looked more beautiful than ever. Not many pregnant celebs can show up to the carpet without looking like a butter ball trying to look fashionable, but the Princess did it effortlessly. All I can say is that I need her makeup hair stylist pronto because she definitely did it with out over doing it!

I am honestly not the biggest fan of Miranda Lambert as a singer or as a fashion muse, but when she debuted in her more fit body wearing this fiery red Pamella Roland gown, I was pleasantly surprised. Her new and healthy figure looked amazing in this cut, and her hair was vintage glam. I’m so glad she went for a clean look like this, instead of her usual wacky country girl looks.

And finally… BOW DOWN B*TCHES: My BEST DRESSED of the night:
Beyonce in Michael Costello.
This sheer white embroidered gown was a jaw dropper for me. I was literally stunned when I saw her in the crowd! Just when you thought nothing could top her amazing performance, the cameras roll to her and adorable hubby, Jay-Z. The hair was everything less than out-done, but done in a clever way and the berry lip color was the icing on the cake with her complexion. I became so drunk in love,
Thanks Queen Bey!

{ps, another one of my best dressed looks was E! anchorwoman
Catt Sadler, but the only photo I could retrieve was from her instagram account!
Designer is a mystery but she looked AMAZING!}
So… Who was on your Best Dressed list?
