Grammy’s Glamour 2015
My best dressed list for the 2015 Grammy Awards is short and sweet, something I absolutely would not have expected it to be since it is one of my favorite awards shows for fashion. But that is A-OK because in my opinion, Gwen Stefani’s two looks of the night killed everybody else’s outfit game. Yes, not one but TWO looks. Was I surprised? Not at all. Gwen is a goddess and is always looking chic as shit on and off the red carpet.

Gwen Stefani’s first look? An Atelier Versace jumpsuit, which as you can see was a piece of glorious artwork. Her porcelain skin made it even better giving it a statuesque feel. I definitely noticed the nude lip replacement for her signature red, but of course she couldn’t go subtle for too long- my eyes widened when she took the stage and knocked my socks off in another ensemble in a head-to-toe luscious red Atelier Versace (again) dress. If you can remember correctly, she also wore Versace last year at the Grammys and was also on my best dressed list. The woman knows what looks good on her and she slayed the whole show with these two looks.

Katy Perry in Zuhair Murad almost reminded me of her iconic Grammy’s look from three years ago, when she wore the baby blue sequined Elie Saab dress with blue hair. As you may know, these two designers are very similar in that 1). They are both Lebanese 2). They are both haute couture designers and 3). The both love embellishments and intricate details. I thought she looked gorgeous with the fringe embellishments and the midi length, but found this look to be very safe for her. I expected a little bit more from Katy gal since she is on top of her game (Superbowl halftime performance + Grammy nominations and performance within the same week), but nevertheless, she still made the list.

Ariana Grande in Versace looked crisp clean in white yet edgy with the cool silver sequined accented detail on the side bodice. This gown for her was a great combination of youthful yet mature for her and surprisingly, I think the hair (which has been done one too many times) actually worked with this look. Slick back and in a ponytail kept this look sharp and precise. This was a good way to go for Ariana as she can transition from young Nickelodeon star to a more serious singer in the game.

Taylor Swift was enchanting (very fitting!) in this gorgeous teal blue, dramatic Elie Saab gown. The ball-gown feel almost took me back to her earlier days when she first started out in the music industry, when she would wear the Cinderella-like dresses to every red carpet event. I found that this look kind of represented her past years and intertwined it with the present. Her style now is very much modern and on trend, and I think this gown was a great mix of both old and new T.Swift. The shoulder cut outs were edgy and flirt and the way she accessorized was perfection.
