After too long of a hiatus – I am finally trying to get my priorities straight and come back to my beloved blog. It has been a busy three month long break but everyone knows how much I love writing and creating blog posts, so I am going to get back on track with it and make sure I update more! 

Work, travel, and family visits have taken over my life these past few months and I am truly blessed for it all. I didn’t realize how much would change after graduating college, but instead of having more time like I thought I would have since I don’t have to write papers, study for tests, and attend study groups anymore, I quickly noticed that the college after-life also gives me no time for lots of the things I used to have time for! Nevertheless, I do enjoy the post graduate life more than the undergraduate life.

So a quick update on my life – last month I came back from a wonderful one week resort vacay with my family and we had an absolute blast. We went all the way down to South Beach to sun our buns and visit the ever so talked about city of Miami.

While we were there, I was dying to do mani/pedi’s with my sister and mom; but not just an ordinary french tip manicure or regular colored pedicure – I wanted to experience the glitz and the glamour of NAIL ART.  All of my readers from Columbia know that we have some great nail salons, but we don’t have any super spectacular nail salons that do fun designs, rhinestones, or even glitter for that matter. In this day and age, nail art is such a huge trend in the fashion industry and is even looked at as an accessory. Lately it’s more important than the jewels you pair with your fabulous outfit.

After searching for Nail Salons, the search engine finally led us to the number one nail salon in Miami.

NailBar Midtown was exactly what we were looking for.

As we stepped into the bar, it was fabulously set up and merchandised as seen above. The pops of color, the aroma floating around the room, and the ambiance in general was exciting and enthusiastic for us – especially because it was a change of scenery from the generic nail salons that we’re used to.

My mom, sister and I were all pampered with soothing pedicures as we sipped on our iced teas, then we got to the real deal – our manicured nail art designs. After browsing ideas on what designs we wanted to do, this is how our nails ended up like:
