NYFW Street Style 2015
New York Fashion Week viewings of the Spring 2015 collections has recently come to an end. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it up there this season which was a total bummer since I was there this time, last year {check out my outfits from last year here, here and here} – but as always, I caught recaps of the collections from my regular websites like style.com and harpers bazaar.
One of my most favorite things to recap on is the STREET STYLE looks. I always say that the best way to get inspired is by checking out the street walkers during every fashion week, no matter the continent. Whether you’re looking for innovative ways to create outfits, or want to know what the hottest trends are at the moment, this is when you look at the very fashionable ladies and lads of fashion week.
After observing street style look after street style look, I have concluded that it was absolutely FRIGID in New York last week. I can attest to that as well, since last year I froze my bum off and my fingers almost turned into icicles. But, I could also tell from the photography and the common factor I was getting out of every photo. There was a LOT of fur, layering pieces, and accessories like gloves, snoods, and head scarfs. There wasn’t one photo that I came across that I thought, “damn, she hates her life because she’s probably SO cold” by any means. Everyone bundled up and bundled in the RIGHT way. It was totally inspiring to see how everyone outfitted their looks; maintaining warmth and staying fashionable.
Below zero temperatures or not, these chicks still kept it hot. You’ll see the familiar faces of people like Shiona Turini of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Shea Marie of peace love shea, and Aimee Song of song of style in my collection of favorite NYFW looks of the season:
