My new favorite snakeskin layering piece.
Ok, so this snakeskin turtleneck is my new go-to layering staple! I didn’t think that I would insert snake-related patterns back into my wardrobe this soon. However, here we are in Winter 2018 and I’m sooo into it. I always have a hard time buying staples because I’m extremely into statement and trend, but this piece is the perfect mix of both. When I think snakeskin, I want it in a tighter silhouette so that it fully achieves its name. This turtleneck’s next-to-skin fit and vibrant pattern make it ideal for layering under solid jackets or pairing with high-waisted trousers. And at just $7 from SHEIN (a place I shop way too often,) you can’t beat it! I love this style so much that I also bought it in leopard (which I’ve featured on Instagram.)
Continuing on with my latest obsession of python prints, can I just say how incredibly infatuated I am with these killer new boots from Something Navy’s exclusive line at Nordstrom? Black suede contrasts to perfection, channeling a more slimming look on the foot (which is always a plus!) I love how edgy and contemporary-driven these boots are. Not to mention, it’s a pair that’s undoubtedly unique, which is generally what I aim for when I’m shopping. The compliments were rolling in left and right when I wore these out last Saturday. Moreover, I walked in this pretty pair for about 8 hours without hassle. The kitten heel is just the right height for wearing all day with pure ease.
On another note… why are people so hesitant about wearing orange hues? Personally, it is one of my favorite colors to wear. Maybe you all can answer this question because it puzzles me each and every season. I love it infused in over pieces, like this H&M trenchcoat I got on major clearance. It’s safe to say I’ll be wearing this piece through transition periods.
