Can you guess which of these identical white boots are cheaper?
Let’s talk about white boots. Some people are afraid of them because of the ridiculous stigma people believe in, which has been drilled into our brains times aplenty. “White can’t be worn after labor day.” How obscene is this statement? And who made that dumb rule anyway? Clearly, it’s someone who knew nothing about fashion (and one that didn’t know anything about shade range.)
For the people who still believe in that ‘fashion faux-pas,’ you may quiver reading this: WHITE BOOTS ROCK! Get over it. How many pairs of black or brown boots can you buy? They will never go out of style, so put your pride aside and feast your eyes on a stark white pair. They’re ideal for fall, winter, transitioning into spring and even summer (if you don’t have a problem with your feet sweating.) Which is why I’ve been coveting them for the longest. However, finding the right pair was quite a challenge.
It was when I met Dania for our weekly coffee date that I really felt the urge to make a purchase. She gracefully stepped in with the most mod pair of white boots that totally made her fall look pop. Unfortunately, we don’t wear the same shoe size so swiping them off her feet was not an option. Their pristine appeal and contrasting block heel made them absolutely perfect and completely desirable. That was officially when my hunt began.
I barely did any hunting, because Dania stumbled upon a pair that was almost IDENTICAL just a few weeks later while out shopping. And just a couple of days after that, I scurried over to the store and immediately purchased them. And now their pictures plastered all over this post of us sisters posing in our (almost) matching boots in VEGAS!! How stellar!
But wait a minute… there’s a catch. One is cheaper than the other. Can you guess who saved and who splurged?
The answer: I saved with a pair from Target for $39.99, while Dania splurged with a pair from Kendall Kylie for $195 (now on SALE for $53!)
