How is everybody’s Wednesday? Mine has been so hectic already! I thought I’d share a tutorial for an altered form of a fishtail braid. It adds a boho look to a trendy classic and is perfect for a ‘i don’t feel like doing my hair’ kind of day {like mine today}. If you’re unfamiliar with how to do the fishtail braid, refresh your memory by clicking here.
Jen & I were fooling around on the internet, and we saw one of the cutest ways to add something different to straight hair. After working out some techniques to perfect it, we realized that this crown braid is the perfect hairstyle for a party or just to grab lunch with some friends. It can even be elaborated on for a wedding by adding small flowers or rhinestones to the center of the braid. It’s really easy to do, just make sure you have some pins to secure it!
Fishtails are the fastest way to make your
hair look fabulous in just a little amount of time!
Today, I used my friend Gabby as a model
to show you all how to make your hair
go from sleek to chic!
1. Divide hair in 2 equal parts.
2. Take a piece of hair from under 1
of the 2 halves.
3. Wrap hair around one half
4. Bring hair to the other side &
repeat steps 1-3 with the
second half
5. Now your hair should be crossed like an X
6. Repeat steps all over, making sure the top
of the braid is tight
I personally think the messier the better!
